Meet Our Team

Services

Sundays at 10:30am | Wednesdays at 6:30pm

The Well at Crystal Springs Leadership

The Well is blessed to have a team of servant-leaders who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.

Our pastors and church staff are here to connect with you, care for you, and help you develop your relationship with Jesus Christ. That means being available to listen to, talk with, pray for, and worship beside you. And it means being present to meet the spiritual needs of people wherever they are—whether in church, homes, hospital beds, prison cells, office buildings, coffee houses, or on the streets.

Dwayne Sumner

Senior Pastor

Dwayne has been serving as Senior Pastor of The Well (formerly known as West Normandy Baptist) for over 12 years. He was saved in 1983 and has faithfully served the Lord and preached the gospel since that time. He and his lovely wife, Patricia V., have been married for 38 years. One of his favorite verses in the Bible is John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Pastor Dwayne loves preaching the Word and he loves people. His goal is to bring the two together, motivating people in their walk with the Lord and their faithfulness to God.

Jordan Messer

Associate Pastor

By God's grace, there has never been a time in my life when I was not a part of His church, knowing Jesus died for me and rose again to bring eternal life, according to the scriptures. Though I cannot pinpoint an exact date for my own conversion, I did experience true repentance and personal faith in Jesus in the 9th grade, and was biblically baptized shortly thereafter. In truth, I've always aspired to the gospel ministry going all the way back to when I was a little boy preaching sermons from my front porch after church. My home church recognized this desire, gave me discipleship and opportunities to teach the Bible and in 2017 ordained me to the ministry in preparation for my calling to the pastorate. The Lord has graciously allowed me to care for my family, pastor His church, grow in my secular job, and obtain my seminary degree. My passion is to see churches strengthened in proclaiming God's glory with evangelistic zeal.
